Faith matters: East Grand Forks school to host student fun night
Riverside Christian School, East Grand Forks, is hosting its annual Student Fun Night from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Splashers in the CanadInn in Grand Forks. Students enrolled at Riverside and students interested in attending are invited to this free evening of fun, food, door prizes and discounted water park tickets. Reservations must be made by Friday.

Bemidji church to host music series
Only four performances are left in the Bemidji Area Church Musicians Summer Recital Series. The next recital will feature Wayne Hoff, organ, and Carol Johnson, piano, at noon Wednesday at Aardahl Lutheran Church, 2920 Van Buren Ave. S.E. Free-will offerings will be gathered for scholarships for students studying music in college, and a luncheon will be available after the recital for a small fee.

Aglow to host outreach event
Grand Cities Aglow International is holding an outreach event from 10 a.m. to noon Aug. 9 down the street from the State Park in East Grand Forks, just north of the Kennedy Bridge.
Registration starts at 10 a.m. followed by a guest speaker for adults and a separate ministry for children with the Child Evangelist Fellowship team. At 11 a.m. will be prizes, drawings, kids games, face painting and other activities. Aglow will also hold a school supply giveaway to help children in need.

GF church to host local performers
First Presbyterian Church, 5555 S. Washington St., Grand Forks, is hosting Music on the Edge (Of Town) from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Aug. 13.
This event showcases the variety of musical talent in Grand Forks, with performers from Red River High School, UND Jazz, “4 Praise” and more. Ice cream sundaes will be available for a free will offering.

Gentilly church to celebrate 100th
St. Peters Catholic Church, 25823 185th Ave. S.W., Gentilly, Minn., will celebrate its 100th anniversary starting at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 17. Rev. Michael Hoeppner will say mass, followed by a lunch, tours, historical items and kids games.

Binford group to hold quilt auction
Red Willow Ministries is holding its fine art auction Aug. 24 at the Red Willow Bible Camp, 1651 Jacob Drive, Binford, N.D. There will be a silent auction starting at 9 a.m., worship services at 10 a.m., lunch at 11 a.m. and the live auction of a variety of quilts at 1 p.m.

Park River Bible Camp announced this year’s schedule of summer concerts. These performers will appear on the following dates:

- Aug. 10: Century Club and John Bedore
Concerts start at 7 p.m. Sunday will also include camp worship at 10 a.m. and lunch at 11:30 a.m.
