Crookston man cited for distracted driving in accident
A Crookston, Minn., man was cited for failure to have his vehicle under control Monday morning, which resulted in two-vehicle accident at the 1100 block of 47th Avenue South.
Cole Deboer was driving his 1999 Dodge pickup east on 47th Avenue South at about 10 a.m. Monday when he struck an illegally parked construction truck, according to a Grand Forks Police Department press release. The report said Deboer’s attention was distracted and contributed to the crash.
Deboer’s vehicle and the construction truck suffered extensive damage, the press release said.
Deboer suffered injuries in the crash, the extent of which were not known by police, and he was transported to Altru Hospital.
