Coleman signs UND NLI
Josiah Coleman, who gave a verbal commitment last month, has signed a National Letter of Intent to begin playing for UND next season.
Coleman will have two seasons of eligibility. He played the past two seasons at Iowa Western Community College where he averaged 7.2 points and 3.9 rebounds as a sophomore. He reached double figures 10 times this past season, including a career-high 20 points in a win over Northeast Community College. The 6-foot-5 wing started 34 games in his two-year career.
“He has a tremendous basketball IQ and comes from successful programs at the high school and junior college levels,” UND coach Brian Jones said. “Josiah’s ability to make open shots, defend multiple positions and rebound will be a tremendous asset to our program over the next two seasons. We are eager to get him on campus so we can start working with him in summer workouts.”
Coleman is originally from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where he prepped at John F. Kennedy High School. He averaged 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks during his senior season, helping lead his team to a conference title.

Huff shot 5-for-11 from the field and 1-for-3 from three-point range in helping Portsmouth Partnership beat Cherry Bekaert 88-81.
Duke guard Andre Dawkins, playing for Bekaert, led all scorers with 20 points.
