Canines and owners alike came together Thursday for the third annual Bark in the Park in Larimore, N.D. The event was started by Leslie Hagert and Kelly Hilzendager both of whom own professional dog spa's in the surrounding area. "It's a great event for people to come out and have fun with their dogs," Kelly said. The friends main goal for the event was to bring attention and educate attendees about fostering and adopting dogs. "We want to encourage to adopt not shop," Kelly said. The event is jam packed with fun-filled events such as a pet parade, a peanut butter eating contest, a dress 'em up relay and even a best trick contest.
