Sam Veitenheimer (left), Fergus Falls, Minn., landed quite a present on his 11th birthday July 29 when he reeled in this 21.9-pound catfish on the Red River in Grand Forks while fishing with Kent Hollands of Trophy Cat Adventures. Sam’s older brother, Justin (right), reeled in this 14.6-pound catfish at the same time. Hollands said the 21.9-pound cat, which measured 37 inches, was the biggest fish Sam had ever seen. “Great double,” Hollands said. Both cats were released.
