Five out of five stars.

Socks? Check. Glasses? Check. Charger? Check. No matter how many lists we make or times we check our bags, it seems we always forget one thing or another when traveling.

The free app Stow may solve that problem. With preset editable check lists, the app helps users ensure they have all of their bases covered when it comes to packing for a trip.

First, the user selects whether it's a business trip, cruise, camping trip or family visit. Each type of trip has a template or preset list of items that the user may need to bring.

For example, the business trip template includes specific work items like business cards, a note pad and laptop. The camping trip includes essentials like a flashlight, sleeping bag and tent, as well as items that would enhance the experience like binoculars, a picnic blanket and a fire starter.

The user can add and remove items that she may or may not need. Then, start packing. The app allows the user to check off each item as she goes. The user can then view items by selecting all, packed or not packed.

When the user gets to his destination, he can click "unpack," so the list is ready to go for his trip back home.

For long-term trips, the app also has a laundry option, which allows the user to select how many days they should pack for. The app will automatically add the appropriate number of outfits and undergarments to the list. Any edited list can be saved as a new template for future reference.

Stow also helps its users pack for appropriate weather by listing important items for warm weather, cold weather, snow or rain.

The best part of the app is that everything is customizable. So, whether the user has multiple daily medications or various pieces of camera equipment, he can add it to the list and always be reminded to pack it in the suitcase.

It's super easy to navigate and aesthetically pleasing. It's the perfect traveling sidekick for a first-time traveler or avid explorer.
