18 charged with DUI in Grand Forks region
Eighteen drivers in northeast North Dakota were arrested in March on suspicion of driving under the influence, according to the state Department of Transportation.
Another eight arrests were made on alcohol-related charges, 9 on drug charges and 12 on for driving with a suspended license.
The arrests were part of a crackdown by the Northeast Grand Forks Regional DUI Task Force, the aim of which is to deter drunk driving. Grand Forks police, UND police and Grand Forks County Sheriff’s Department are part of the task force.
The task force also issued 26 speeding tickets.
